"That evangelism which draws friendly parallels between the ways of God and the ways of men is false to the Bible and cruel to the souls of its hearers. The faith of Christ does not parallel the world; it intersects it. In coming to Christ we do not bring our old life to a higher plane; we leave it at the cross...We, who preach the gospel must not think of ourselves as public relations agents sent to establish good will between Christ and the world. We must not imagine ourselves commissioned to make Christ acceptable to big business, the press, or the world of sports, or modern entertainment. We are not diplomats, but prophets; and our message is not a compromise, but an ultimatum."
He then ended with this beautiful poem that he wrote himself. Oh how I love this man.
Hands of Mine by W. Ross Kilpatrick
Lord, help these hands of mine
Which cling to worldly things
Which wish to take hold of your good will
Yet resolve to hold to selfish dreams
Lord, help these hands of mine
For divided are their courses
Can one love you, O God
With the other making sinful choices?
For not just one, but both your hands
Expressed a strength that endured the nails
For my sin they gripped my guilt
And demonstrated love that never fails
So, Lord, help these hands of mine
To release these prideful pursuits
Help them take up this cross of surrender, Lord
Help them count the cost and cling to you.

Hello Amy,
Thank you for your prayers. We truly appreciate that you and your Sunday school class are praying for Owen. It's evident that the Lord is hearing all these prayers because Owen is doing so well.
Your family is beautiful (those adorable children take after their mommy)! All the best to you and your family.
Love, Jennifer "Martin"
